Leadership - Friendship - Service |

Leadership APO is full of leadership opportunities. From leading at the worksite, to leading APO itself, if you want a place to come into your own as a leader, APO is the place for you. In each project we work 1 person signs up as the Member in Charge or MIC. The MIC is responsible for calling each member that’s signed up for the project the night before to make sure everyone remembers about the project. The MIC is also often responsible for communicating with the people we will be working with/for. Friendship It’s been said before, but we probably focus just as much energy into fellowship as service. With at least one (usually more) fellowship event per week plus the non-apo (NAPO) parties we have, you’re guaranteed to make friends. Some of our fellowship events include: Taco Tuesday, where we meet every Tuesday at Rosas on Overton Ridge. Membership Retreat is a camping trip we take once a semester. At the end of every year we have a Semi-Formal that has a different theme each year. Service Service is the most important part of APO. We do countless hours of service each semester that range from planting trees in parks, to watching movies with the elderly, to walking dogs each week at the animal shelter. One of our most popular service projects is Professors Night Out. One night a semester we take over the basement of the Rickell and baby-sit the children of TCU faculty and staff for free. |
